A nice local wedding for Laura & Dave at All Saints Church moving on to Worcestershire Cricket ground. The option for flying the drone in the big church was explored but ultimately I felt it safer to stand at the top of a big step ladder to photograph the whole congregation , around 200 guests! A few wobbles made me think the drone would have been better! I did use it at Worcs cricket club having been give permission to fly it there.

Another wedding at the splendid Stanbrook Abbey where I have photographed quite a few weddings and function here now. It’s a fantastic setting full of character. I worked with a good friend who was my 2nd shooter for part of the day. This allowed him to get some different angles & I think I’m in a few of the photos for a change too!

It’s always great to be asked by friends to photograph their wedding & this was the case for Meghan & Ian. There were also many guests who I knew too. A lovely setting albeit a bit wet at St Peters Church Dunchurch and then onto the Village Hall. The live music inside the church and at the village hall was fantastic – enjoy the photos (click continue reading below)
The wet weather certainly didn’t dampen the happiness of the day for Hannah & Paul. It’s a very picturesque church at Mardresfield & having photographed many weddings now I enjoyed returning to Stanbrook Abbey which is definitely one of my favourite wedding venues.
Anyway I’ll let the photos tell the story, click continue reading below to see them!
Barns & Yard near Malvern is a new wedding venue which has been superbly extensively restored & renovated. It was an absolute pleasure to photograph one of their first weddings. It’s in a beautiful setting and the renovations carried out are stunning.

I was asked to photograph all day for Jen & Mike’s wedding day. The joy of the day was clear to see from the outset. The out door ceremony was in the grounds of a derelict nunnery which certainly provided a fantastic setting. I did both ground level and drone photography & it’s not often the bride arrives on a tractor! A fantastic day which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I photograph regularly at Nurseries and I though it would be good to create a blog showing photos from a Nursery I photographed at the end of 2018. I treat privacy very carefully and I received permission from parents to feature all the photos on here. (Click on Continue Reading to see the photos!)
It is always lovely to photograph at a wedding venue on multiple occasions. The Holt Fleet has a fantastic setting by the River Severn and is a venue I look…
I get asked more and more often if I can do story telling / reportage / natural photos for a wedding and the simple answer is yes , and I love
doing this type of photography. It may be that a mix of formal groups and natural photos is required and this makes a nice balance for a wedding photo portfolio, but I will of course listen to what you would like. Here are some examples of natural photos from just a small selection of the many weddings I have photographed.

What a fantastic day photographing Kelly & Andy’s Wedding day at Redhouse Barn. It’s a great location with a lovely ceremony room full of character with wooden
beams & lots of light! It’s also set in fabulous grounds with plenty of opportunities to get great photos.

I do many family photo shoots whether outside or studio based and I now have quite a few families coming back to me annually to reflect how their families are all growing up! It’s a bit of a science getting the lighting set up correctly and the camera settings spot on but also to make the session fun and to get everyone to have a good time making lovely photos. If you’ve not had a chance to read up on me I have 2 young children so I’m very used to getting children of any age to react to my sometimes daft behaviour! Anyway enough words and here are some photos from a lovely family (who have very kindly given me permission to post these photos) I have photographed on quite a few occasions now (CLICK ON CONTINUE READING TO SEE THE PHOTOS ) :
Wedding of Mary & Sean at the Granary Hotel Kidderminster It was a happy day at the Granary Hotel near Kidderminster. Sean & Mary and many of their family had travelled over from Northern Ireland and I was made to feel very welcome among their company. The venue is perfect in terms of doing group shots near the ceremony room so people could mingle and not have to walk far when they were asked to take part. I also handed out lists of the groups required to the chief bridesmaid and best man and they helped gather people … this really does help in making sure the group shots don’t drag on too long so that everyone can get back to catching up and enjoying themselves! A great day and a pleasure to photograph. Anyway here’s a selection of photos which I hope you enjoy! Congratulations Sean & Mary!
Wedding of Siobhan & Mark September 2016 – Powick Church & Bank House Hotel Worcester
It was a fantastic photographing Siobhan & Mark’s Wedding. The wedding was at Powick Church in Worcester with the Wedding
Reception being at the Bank House Hotel again in Worcester. Siobhan asked for some getting ready photos and it’s certainly one of the biggest bridal suites I’ve ever seen with multiple rooms and fantastic views over the the Malvern Hills. I always respect where I am asked to stand for the church service and on this occasion I was asked to stand at the back and remain discreet. This still enables me to get some great photos and with the help of my 70-200 lens I can zoom in for certain shots.
Back at the Hotel there is a great shot of all the chaps jumping in the air and someone even offered to take a photo of me where I though why not! Click on the “Continue Reading” link below to see the photos!
Many congratulations to Siobhan & Mark!
Preparation for a Wedding – Most of the time people see me walking around in a relaxed manner setting my camera and taking great photos. What’s not seen is what I do in readiness for a wedding shoot …. Here’s a brief insight which I appreciate may make some fall asleep if you’re sat in a comfortable armchair on a Sunday afternoon 🙂
